What is Lammma?
Lammma (لمّة) is a mobile app, coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, that connects people in Cairo with independent home cooks near them. Lammma does not cook, sell or deliver the food, and customers pay the cook directly.

Quick questions
Who cooks the food on Lammma?
People who cook in their own homes, women and men. Each kitchen is independent and sets its own menu, prices, hours and delivery. Each kitchen is responsible for its own food.
How do I order home food on Lammma?
In the app: pick a kitchen and dishes, and the full total with delivery shows before you send. The kitchen has 20 minutes to accept or decline, and you pay the cook in cash or by transfer after it accepts.
Does Lammma charge customers a fee?
No. Customers pay the cook for the food and delivery (if any), and pay Lammma nothing.
Does Lammma inspect kitchens?
No. Lammma doesn't cook, check or deliver the food. It doesn't visit kitchens or ask chefs for an ID or documents. The chef is responsible for the food, and nothing in the app is a check of the kitchen or the food.
Where does Lammma work?
Lammma starts in a few areas of Cairo, named here once they are set. Kitchens are shown by location; where none is near yet, the app has a waitlist.
What if something goes wrong with an order?
A problem with an order is between you and the kitchen; Lammma may help. The order page in the app has “Report a problem with an order”, and any consumer can also contact the Consumer Protection Agency on 19588.
